Perfect Cookie Swap Recipe
Cookie swaps are so much fun! I was really excited to be invited to join my first ever "virtual" cookie swap hosted by Julie Espy from White Lights on Wednesday. One of the best parts about blogging is being able to meet so many fun people that share my same interests. Julie is one of those fun people. She is an Arizona blogger and is hosting her 3rd Annual Christmas Cookie Swap. So, when she put out the invitation to join her, I jumped at it!
For the swap, Julie paired us up with other bloggers and we traded recipes instead of actual cookies. I love that! I was also excited to learn that I had been paired with Krayl Funch from An Appealing Plan.
Krayl is a home and event stylist that has just launched her first full colored book filled with great ideas for celebrating everyday. Don't you love that "Everyday" thing?
Well, Krayl and I must think alike in other ways as well. I sent her my family's favorite cookie recipe, Chocolate Triple Chip Cookies, that are a rich, dark chocolate cookie with 3 kinds of chocolate chips. We call them "Chocolate Overboard Cookies."
Krayl sent me her favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe that is filled with two kinds of mini chips—white chocolate and semi-sweet chips. They turned out great! You can see that Krayl's cookies are a soft, chewy cookie that "puff" up a little in her original post. I like mine a little bit thinner so, I used the bottom of a glass to flatten the round balls of dough before popping them in the oven.
Either way, the cookies make a great addition to your cookie swaps and don't forget to leave a plate them for Santa!
You will find links to all of the other cookies in our cookie swap at the end of this post so, be sure to head on over and check out the delicious recipes and get to know all of the other bloggers. Be sure to leave them a comment and let them know I sent you over from Everyday Southwest.
