Astonish Your Friends and Family with These Amazing Flourless Black Bean Brownies

We promise you will be in shock and awe at the texture and taste of these amazing healthy flourless black bean brownies.

When I first ate these, I tried hard but couldn't guess the secret ingredient. Even after I knew, it was hard to detect any bean taste.

If you have 100 friends and family over and serve these brownies, we guarantee that 99 of them - if not 100 - will never guess the secret main ingredient. They're that good!

If you like the flavor of chiles and chocolate together, add in some chipotle powder for a little kick - totally optional, of course.

CHIPOTLE BLACK BEAN BROWNIES

1 (15.5 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
3 large eggs
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
¾ cup white sugar
½ teaspoon instant coffee
1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder (optional)
½ cup white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 and spray an 8x8 square baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.

Combine the black beans, eggs, oil, cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, sugar, instant coffee and chile powder in a high-speed blender or food processor; blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into the  baking dish. Sprinkle half the white chocolate chips over the top of the mixture. Bake about 30 minutes, until center is firm.

Let cool. Melt remaining white chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.

What a wonderful recipe! I wonder if it would be ok with Turbinado sugar?

Dawn - I think that would be a great idea! I am also going to try using Splenda or some other low-carb sweetner and see how that works. Let us know how yours turn out!
